Meddling Mondays- Britney's Threesome Song and the Sexism that ensued.

This is Britney Spears new song "1,2,3" and it is quite transparently about a girl trying to convince her boyfriend to do a threesome with her and another man. See for yourself below.

1, 2, 3

Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin

Babe, pick a night
To come out and play
If it’s alright
What do you say?

Merrier the more
Triple fun that way
Twister on the floor
What do you say?

Are - you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing (yeah)
Are - you in
I am countin’!

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin

Three is a charm
Two is not the same
I don’t see the harm
So are you game?

Lets’ make a team
Make ‘em say my name
Lovin’ the extreme
Now are you game?

Are - you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing
Are - you in
I am countin’!

1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***

What we do is innocent
Just for fun and nothin’ meant
If you don’t like the company
Let’s just do it you and me
You and me…
Or three….
Or four….
- On the floor!

Chorus X 2

Oddly enough though, that is not at all what bothers me about the release of this song. In fact, besides the fact that it is a truly terrible song complete with awkward transitions and terrible synth notes, I actually really like the fact that she has this song. Its HER idea in the song to have a threesome, she wants to have it with two boys, not adhering to the regular misogynistic 2 girls one guy fantasy that she could have catered to, so I'm a fan. It is the fact that this song is now being called "Deviant". A song about a threesome?? I'm sorry its not like this is a new concept this gets spoken about and referenced to ALL the time in pop culture, yet she sings about in a disguised way and its deviant? They have also resorted to emotional abuse. They claim that she is a bad mother because she talks about sex. I am not even going to talk about  that on its own, because it is absolutely ridiculous and illogical. What I will say is that this is pure and utter sexism, this song would never be an issue if she were a man. Case in point, Rapper Lil' Wayne also happens to be a father to a little girl, I think she is around 10, far more likely to be able to understand the songs her father sings about then 2 and 3 year old Jayden James and Sean Preston. That and Lil' Wayne's most famous and first hit song was about a blow job, not only that it also mentions what the vagina of the girl he is having sex with taste's like. Strangely enough though, I somehow don't remember him being labeled a bad father or being slut shamed for his clear and proud pension for sex. Once again, the song itself by Britney is not good and I'm not encouraging that you listen to it [for fear that your ears might bleed] but why in hell is it that we are in 2009 and a women can't even ELUDE to having sex without having her professional and personal life attacked and yet a man can have a number one single with explicit details about several different sex acts that objectifies women and be dubbed the "Savior of Hip Hop".
